Will everyone that owns a 4 cylinder car PLEASE stop using the term "Headers"? Its a HEADER! When you have more than one, it is called Headers. Anyone else that has any pet peeves, this is the thread for them!! It just gets on my nerves when people say "Yeah, its got exhaust, a CAI, headers,..."

when people start talking about how much they know about cars and then say they have a V4 in their Honda Accord and NOT a 4-in-line.

 

People that call my car a "hot rod". Thats just gay.

 

ppl actually respond to my car in a good way - unless theyre over 29 it seems, lol.

i dont like it whn i tell ppl i have a little 1st gen neon they ask if the head gasket's been changed.

its a 99! it came from the factory with an MLS!!!

although yeah it has been changed. twice. once when i busted the t-belt and once recently when i blew it up.

everyone seems to know about the HG, yet no one seems to know about the water trunk or the window noiseat least my factory sunroof still works.

 

Strange thing about window noise. My car sat for two years in our drive way. When I parked it, if you were going over 50 and rolled the window down, you couldnt get it to roll back up properly. The pressure from inside the car at that speed would push the window out so that it wouldnt seal right at that speed or higher. Now that I have it back on the road, it doesnt do it anymore. Strange. Ah yes, the wonderfull water trunk. The best part is the smell of wet, old, moldy carpet insulation. Oh, and the front end shake. Jesus, do the tires need to be balanced every couple thousand miles?

Hey One of my friends had a neon and He built the whole exhaust He made headerS for it, because he had 2 primaries going into 1 on each side separate, and an x pipe, then he turn the exhaust tips out right before the rear tires. So He actually had headers! Not a header. lol It sounded like a motorcycle!

 

me too...i hate that.

 

When people buy the wrongheaders form ebay, then they wonder why there v4 isnt the same old hot rod.

 

Annoys me when I know more than the dodge tech. Had a guy try to tell me that all neons manual transmissions are the same, including the r/t.

Those that claim to have an exhaust system, only to discover the fart can welded/clamped onto the stock pipe. Just say you have a hi-flow muffler.

Or the random guys I run into at the yard that want a 2.4L engine, but only brought their mother's 1/4 drive ratchet, 1/4 drive 3/8 socket, and a phillips head screw driver.

When i sell a part to someone and all seems to have gone well. A year later they bash you fo anything they can think of.
