so today on my way home at 12:00 am i got on it and got it to 4th at 5.5k and i was at 108mph.. but i ran out of straight stretch so i had to slow down.. so not sure how fast it can go but were i start fron there is a cops house there so i cant start b4 that.. cuz he could get a lil angry but i really want to see the top speed and i cant keep going on this road cuz it comes to just about a 90 degree angle.. but being in 4th at 108 is that normal that seems bad.. cuz all my gears are already gone and im only at 108mph

I would not call it "bad" considering the eork put into your neon. Your mods do not list an udp, so that may help with top end, which the 2.4L does not have without cams. Your transmission (if still the 3.55 .755th) really is not going to help matters at all. Seeing as gas is only getting worse, you may wanna keep it around 55mph . A more aggressive gearset would play a critical role here. My 2.0L has reached 117 in 3rd with several bolt ons and a MPCM. Any head work done yet?

This I must say is pretty pathetic, You can still only top out at 108mph and you have a 2.4 DOHC with no balancing shafts 15hp gainthe 2.0 DOHC cams 15hp gain and you still can't reach 110mph!
What are you doing wrong? My wifes sohc automatic could do 115mph whenever me or her tried within a half mile and that was a completely stock sohc and even with bad rings it still did 110mph.
Personally I'm happy with my Neons doing almost 120mph and most of the time I don't have the ***** to drive even at 95mph.

and like i said i havent taken into 5th but i dont think that will be a very long gear..
another question if i run the gears longer,,, then will i go faster.. cuz i was shifting at 5.5k so i was wandering if i maxed out each gear if i would end up going faster in the long run?
3/8's is prolly just about right...
if i get some ***** ill take the 90* at 108

yeah you should be holding the gears till about 7000 grand... its going to be loud as hell and scare the hell out of you but try it once... when you shift (if done fast enuf) you should hit second at around 5000rpm witch is right in the power range... dont let the rpms drop to much inbetween 1st and second... even if it seems like your not making power stay in gear... when i race my sohc with the mpp pcm I take it all the way up to the rev limiter before i shift and its rev limiter is 7600 so yeah keep it in gear... 5th wont do much... if you were to swap to a 3.94 it would feel like a whole new gear... but if you shift like i said you wont need 5th... to be honest with you you are so close to the speed cut off its not funny...
By the way josh... you may want to wait to do this till after you get that alternator bracket fixed...
