Default advice for deck

so i got screwed on the .org for a cylinder head. i think im gonna have to have mine decked. whats safe - and whats a good number (in thousanths of an inch ) to go down to increase compression to a safely higher level on .020 overbore and stock 2.0 cams?

what you could do is clay the engine

explains how on vtec, but it the same procedure

find how much clearance you have then remove the appropriate amount from the head
