Default What was the Highline package?

Im going to look at a 98 Neon Highline, low mileage 66k, clean body, good price $2500. My question is what was the Highline package? Was it anything special?

2500 is a bit much...

but here is what a highline is...

The Highline is the mainstream Neon, and the rollout splash featured a white-on-white Highline Sedan, with 14-inch "bubble" wheelcovers and a roof rack, all of which alluded to the Neon concept vehicle that had attracted attention a few years previously. Air conditioning was standard, and other comfort options were available such as cruise control. 13-inch wheels were standard, but most cars came with the 14-inch upgrade and the previously mentioned bubble wheelcovers. All Highlines have the SDC (Touring) suspension, with front swaybar only. The Highline interior features more contoured seats than the Base model, with plusher upholstery and the split fold-down rear seat. Additional sound-deadening insulation was included. The 1995 ACR Coupe was built on the Highline, as are all 1998-99 m/y ACRs. The Highline was originally available only as a Sedan, which began production in January of 1994. The Highline Coupe came online as a 1995 model, with production starting around August of 1994.

i wouldn't pay any more than 2k for a Neon. unless it was an RT or ACR or NYG. and the Highline was just the normal Neon nothing too special.

with gas prices the way they are now, $2500 isnt a bad price...atleast around me...

hell, you cant find a neon around here for cheap.....most of the ones i have seen lately havemore then150,000 miles, paint chipping, dent and dings everywhere and you cant touch even them for under $1500.....
nice looking low milage neons are going for $3000 to $4500

Same here. Dealersaren't willing tocome down on the price verymuch because they know it won't besitting on the lotvery long, if you don't want to pay somebody else will. Private party sellers know this as well.
66K is verylow mileage for a ten year old car, the industry average is 15K/year according to KBB and NADA.
