Rear blinker and brake light out?
I changed the bulb but my rear turn signal wont work. Neither will the brake light. But the actual lights work. Its not the bulb, not the wiring what else could it be? I dont have my haynes :-(.
It could be the actual turn signal unit in the steering column. My red 95 did the same thing and I changed the bulbs, chased the wires all the way back to the steering column. I replaced the unit and all was good. Im talking about the unit the turn signal lever is in. It basically just plugs into the steering column. As a matter of fact, there is some sort of recall on them for the 95-96 Neons. Not a recall per say, but some sort of general notification.

You know that what I was thinking. But. I pulled the steering column out of my other car. It worked fine before I used it. Plus the car I pulled it from was the same year. But why would that the brake light now work?
