Why is my car slow?
Today was the first day I got up on it? IT wrapped out clean. But it seems slower then my neon was with just a cai. Could it be my indy manifold or my fuel pressure? I have no check engine lights. Only thiing weird I notcied was with my laptop hooked to the car my idle is 10.4% throttle postition and full throttle is about 75%? Whats that about? and when I start the car the rpms raise to about 2.5k? Seems very boggy just starting off from a dead stop. ANd when at idle if I push on the gas It drops and almost dies. Then corrects itself. CAn anyone point out my horsepower robber? The motor was just rebuilt with dohc pistons. I have alot more mods then before. I cant even pull a 3rd gear scratch anymore. And the seconds are weak. 3rd gear at mid rpms floored it doesnt gain speed very fast at all. :-(
I would take your throttle body apart and clean it and make sure your IAC (idle air control sensor) is ok or swap it with another tb if u have one and see if it makes a difference. I guess sometimes these can get dirty or badand cause lagy acceleration because they open too slowly. I'm not an expert but I've been meaning to take mine apart andclean mine out.

Okay Since my timing cover is off I am going to check it. When the laptop is hooked up it says It goes up to about 20 degrees advaced. If that helps ya. Here is mods

I have a walboro with my aeromotive rrfpr. I have it set at 40 when idle. Then it goes to about 51 at full throttle.

i would go with the timing as well.....
if the motor is basically stock, then why run the walboro and the rgulator? stock idle psi should be at about 49

Yea sorry when I am in the question mode I tend to type alot of ????. I just checked the timing. Its right on. If I run the walboro and use my stock reluator in back will then be okay?
