will srt4 internals work on 98 2.0 DOHC?
Such as
-pistons
-valves & retainers
-Camshaft

I understand they might not be a direct bolt on, if i have to bore over i will, but jus the matter of it being compatible is my question? thanks!

 

its not the bore - it'd be the stroke or compression that'd get you. the 2.4 has a longer stroke and a longer block. if u want to run srt internals then go to a 2.4. better off to keep ur own camshafts than go to srt's.

plus unless ur gonna turbo dont cuz srt stuff is low compression for boost.

 

non of them besides the cams will work... and you will have to rotate the cam magnet... also you will get less power out of them..

 

Cams are compatible (not recommended though) and thats all.

 

you cant put 2.4 internals in a 2.0....there is a reason its a 2.4

 

to give you a direct answer to why the 2.4 has a 1 inch longer stroke... witch would pound the piston into the head...
