Default Is it worth it??

I need to get a paint job on the Neon. Is the $400-$600 dollars I might save by going to Maaco worth it??? I don't need a pro job, just a few dings/dents and a new shine from 11 years of sun and winter salt. If it helps, I'm in SE PA. Any thoughts, thanx!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Just incase you didnt get that, no. First of all, right after they do it, there will be overspray, missed spots, drips, etc. Then, after a year (or less), it will start to fade, peel, chip, etc. If you want a new paint job, take it to a reputable body shop.

I took some wheels off my 340 Duster to Maaco to be painted. I figured they couldn't screw upsomethingTHAT easy. Wrong!Three out offour looked good, but the forth had a bunch of runs.I think theyhire low paidbodyshop 101 flunkies and it shows.

my brother in law had his mustang at maco. he ended up doing all the body work first before they got ahold of it. they did a decent job on his mustang. Only after he talked to the guy who was going to be painting it and say "hey dude, this is going to be in a few car shows. . . I need it to look good." it looked good.

I used to do body and paint work professionally before I started driving truck. If your willing to do ALL the prep work IE, removing parts, sand, body work, etc before you take the car to them. And wet sand and buff the car once you get it back it's not bad. All they do is point and shoot, that being said, I have seen some very nice paint done by Maaco jobbers, but it required work to prep and finish it.
