Recently purchased a 99 neon dohc for a project car. The car had a chip out the first piston. Replaced with all new pistons & rings & gaskets. It is throwing code 37 Torque converter switch. Does this have anything to do with idlle, a guy at autozone said it does. Will have to order the switch, which takes 10 business days. The car sounds like it has a stumble to it when idling, will speed up then down, while motor rocks more. It makes more noise than my 96 sohc neon, is that common for the dohc to make more noise since it has 2 cams?

Fuel pump relay control ckt, Auto shutdown relay control ckt, No ASD relay output voltage at PCM, Fuel level sending unit volts out of range My girlfriend has a 96 neon sohc with 115k, throwing code 42. I have replaced both relays for the fuel pump & the asd. Car will die sometimes when stopped. Will start back up with no problem. Does not do it all the time, sometimes it will do it 10 times a day, others none. Any help appreciated.

 

With the DOHC, it could be the trottle position sensor, but I dont know for sure. The girlfriends sounds like a short or open in your wiring. Start chasing the wiring back from the fuel pump and from the ASD.
