Just sitting here polishing exhaust valves, and got to wondering about you guys/gals. Do you have valve work planned, or are you going to include it in your setup?
To those with valve work, do you have pics? How does this effect your engine performance, if anything?

i did valve workon 22R/21R heads whitch the 22had a swirl in the combustion chamber. Butthesewere more for emissinons and werent good for power. Ive never messed with swril valves so i would be able to give you a strate answer on that.
i guess swril valve would be more a Tuliped shape? Anyone gotapic of a swirl valve?
As for the valve seats best advice i could give is to follow the FSM.

Anyone seen this before:

This is what Mike told me to do on my valves. Keeps liquid fuel out of the combustion chamber, if I recall correctly. The vapor increases combustion temps upping the power some and mpg's.

Would you believe he has been making these for years? I made mine, and should have them in the head this weekend. Still need a higher flowing exhaust, but it will be running. Back-cutting valves is pretty commom, as are the grooves actually. Old way of doing things.
