The mopar computer for the 97-99 does not work in my 96
i know the fans arent supposed to work, but it wont even start the car with it in
i know this because i can put my stock one in, and it will start right up, i follow the fsm instructions for swapping pcms, and the car wont start with the mopar computer in

Its brand new, and works on my 97 just fine, I only took it out cause that cars getting the tranny swapped this weekend, so when i put the computer back in i wont have to worry about the lockup not engaging

Thats interesting....hadn't heard that before. I wonder if later built Mopar PCM's were built to recognize the difference....maybe?
