Hold up now
Civics go like this I believe
LX-1.6L non-vtec SOHC (beatable)
HX-1.6L Vtec SOHC (beatable)
DX-same as EX but with more fuel efficient parts.(not worth your time)
EX-1.6L VTEC SOHC (even with VTEC you should lose mabe a fender around 40mph but should get it back and more around middle of 3rd)
SI-1.6L VTEC DOHC (pretty quick but with some mods, more than intake and exhaust , you should be close)

BS? I don't think so... some of ya'll may pose as hot rodders but it's nothing until you get serious. I did put up my pink slip, but only b/c I know I would win. I'm sure someones been to Houston or Atlanta, you may get away with being posers up north but not here. I suggest you reserve your own personal vintage of poser BS for yourselves.[sm=icon_beat.gif]

im telling you it's the driver not the car . Hell any body can have lots of hp but if the driver doesn't know how to harness its worthless. I have seen an old beat neon ttear apart a semi tuned civic. the driver of the neon was good compared to the civics driver.
and of course people r stupid thats why theycant drive

the 92-95 ex and si had the same motor D16z6 SOHC V-tec 125hp 106lb-ft, supposedly with the v-tec and the design of the v-tec heads the motors do really well with bolt on aftermarket parts.

but hp isnt everything gota have that torq to get you movin.

Actually on the EX the VTEC is not that great because it doesnt kick in till higher RPM ranges (5500 rpm's) and by then the driver needs to shift. My friend has an EX and he and I are dead even up to about 105 and then I slowly pulled on him but not enough to even brag about.

my 97 Auto tranny neon with nothing but an HKS filter puts out 134 at the wheels. less the dyno is fluked cuz it was the guys 2nd time using it. I hope you rape that biatch to shut these import lovers up for good.

Dont know if this helps but I raced my friend (2.4l Prelude w/ intake & catback) not to long ago. I kept up with him (& slightly ahead at first) up to around 97 mph on the highway but he has a 4spd so he got a little on me in the higher gears my friend has a Ford Contour and raped the Prelude (his contour is STOCK) by about a cars length

I owned a 00' Civic. Slow at start, fast beyond 110km/h, lots of pull between 110 and 150 km/h. Its an automatic!
