i have a friend who has a built up Si coupe..its decent...not ricey either..its all go and no show...NA too..

 

I thought all Civic Si's were vtec equipped. Oh well...I can be vtec equipped if I want too...just have to go visit autozone first. LMAO.

WELL i saw a gtr mustang also and a gtr celica and a gtr sentra that was a gxe originally. Those guys are hillarious! I saw on this one video this guy goes up to this man in his mustang and goes is that a gtr hes like yea. So the mans like you got a rotery engine with pistons and all, and they guys like yes yes rotery engion yes.

 

well, the "GT-R" i saw had something aboue eating ricers in the back window..what a moron..typical mustang driver...

 

the only i-vtec engine that I think is decent is in the rsx type-s, other than that I dun know what they did to the civic it was better looking to me in the older body style.

 

well, my buddy is a computer programmer, and he deisgned his own ATF program, and has the motor bored out, aftermarket head and valvetrain...dif, everything..its quiet, and looks stock.

PS. If you don't have at least some mods never try to race a Si or GSR or you will just end up looking stupid. Yes some civics and integras are slow but don't think you can put your step up rt neon against any si or gsr. Yes the srt-4 is faster than almost any honda but thats because it is turbo and thats really not anything to brag about. Once again not trying to be mean but don't kid yourselves.

 

the cx, dx, hx, and the ex are all beatable in stock vs stock versions. Nobody was talking about the gsr we all know what would happen if that encounter happened [sm=icon_beat.gif]. With the civic si I dont know what it is but many drivers just dont know how to drive that car correctly. The only advantage that car has is horsepower and thats in the higher rpms. In my experience since my race was from a 15 mph roll to 65mph I'm guessing thats the civics weak spot or the driver was in the wrong gear. Like i said a while ago and I keep saying the only car that will out right beat our base model sohn neons is the gsr/and the type-s/maybe some Si's - driver aside. The car alone will be enough to win. Some people know how to drive most don't.

 

The 02+ Si's dont have a true VTEC system. They work on 12 valves until you hit 2200rpm, then you have a whooping 4 extra valves kick in. No VTEC kick or anything. I was just messing about my not having VTEC though i have a RSX Type S engine swap into mine, which has true VTEC. I'm sorry for being a troll. But after my girl's car crapped the bed in under an hour last night(right after she bought it from the dealer w/ 68k on it), I had to take it out on something, so i came here looking to solve the problem and saw this thread. I hope the info helps you on the newer ones. They really arent that fast with the stock engine. 15.8 in the 1/4 with a lil bit better than average driver. If you put a K20a2 in they should be at least at a 15.0 with just a stock engine. Later Y'all[8D]
