I wasn't tryin to go faster than about100mph in the first video, anymore it would have been nuts on that road and therewouldn't have been stopping room ifI attempted 105+. I'll try another run tomorrow andshow you guys how my sohc can get to100mph with authority, maybe a bit faster, my air cleaner was dirty as hell its clean now and theres mad power!.

 

my whole point with a sohc auto is that it takes no time at all to get to 90mph....but anything faster and you can watch the speedo move slower and slower when gaining speed[&:]

 

I see what you mean, I think the tach was at 5400 rpm when I shifted into drive, if i would have stayed till 5700 it would have put me in better position for drive, even so theres a huge difference in the length of 3rd gear in the sohc atx the final drive ratio is 2.89! far cry from a dohc mtx's beautiful3.94! final drive gears, if you had a motor that could propelthe sohc atxor enough road I think at 6,000 Rpm you'd be going 155mph in 3rd,yay for gas mileage gears anyways thats why I'm buying a underdrive pully and 60mm tb to ease the high rpm stress of 3rd and earlytake off of first gear.

Some stupid reason my rev limiter goes off at 5900 Rpm [&:]Thats before it even reaches its advertisedmax at 6,000 Rpm! I'm looking at installing a remotetransmission cooler cuz in the morning the car is just great for driveability when the air is cooler so maybe its the trans once it warms up.
