SRT4 this SRT4 that...
i love the whole concept of built not bought also i truly want to build my engine up alot but i still haveing trouble reasoning with myself to go spend 8 grand or more just to make my DD faster..
im really considering buying the hahn turbo kit cuz it seems like it would be really difficult to piece together a kit.. but i might go that route it just seems like i cant find the complete list of what is needed i know one there was a post with all the stuff but then spud added some stuff to the list that if i can remember correctly was in a differant language
. im just now being able to read some of the Sigs with all the abbreviations.
EDIT
well i found a pretty good link

so how many psi can the stock srt4 turbo run...
and by how much would a first gen beat the srt4 if they were built the same..
cuz i always hear the 1st gen would win..but by how much.. becuz then isnt it just the weight differance...?
which every 100lbs is 1/10 of a second so ive been told and have heard many times

i think right around 9 is wat i heard someone say, safelty without too much else into the turbo system
thats enough to take an srt4, colbalt ss, supercharged v6 stangs, 350z, low end porsches
and keep with a stage 1 srt4

I know its 20psi at the absolute max, because I have seen dyno's where the stock turbo is removed and replaced by a bigger turbo at above 20psi because it is no longer in its map by the time it hits 20psi.
The SRT-4 turbo set up is really a generic turbo set up for maxperformance. The manifold sucks and the turbo shoots its wad early. Fine for a low 13 second car but anything above that.....
If you can get the turbo and manifold for under $400 then its agreat set up, but if your looking for max performance your probably not on a budget anyway so just look elsewhere than a SRT-4 turbo.
Garrett T03's from the old Chrysler 2.2 cars are actually capable of higher boost pressures than the SRT-4 turbo, its not hard to find a Garrett T03 running a documented 25-30psi.

get a stock td04lr turbofold and bore it, put in bigger fins
that will give u a nice 20-30 whp gain, and porting and fins and turbofold all will coast u about 400$
then grab ur intercooler and all that jazz
this is in ur 2.4l right?
the car u just swapped the motor into, and u wanna go turbo?
no offense, but didnt jeremy drive to help you put a motor in, how are u gonna do the turbo?
it is a COMPLETLY diffrent playing field
