its about 20 min. from me. the timing belt broke and has 135k on it. they want $1000. but since the valves are probably damaged, the car doesn't run, and its a 97 so i dont know if the headgasket has been replaced, i'm gonna offer them $500. i know its more then i should but oh well.

The downfall, but i am sick and tired of looking and all the cars that are in the color i want are either too far away or just way to much, it looks just like my other green Neon. like almost twins lol. cept the hub caps and the interior is tan which i REALLY like.

$1000 for a 97 with 135k and a broken timing belt is a bit much anyways[&:]
i got my 95 which needed a headgasket and had 69,000 miles on it for $250
new cylinder head, head gasket, timing belt, water pump, oil change, spark plugs, and a new batter...including the price of the car, ive got $400 into it and it runs great....but i also spent another $40 and put power windows in it

 

well. got it. had it towed. spent more than i should but all the Neons around here are in the crappiest of all condition and want over $1200.

i gave him $600. 100 more than i wanted to spend but i figured i would spend 600. plus the tow. so it was around $700 total. the interior is in perfect condition. no tears or stains or anything. and it came with a brand new 205/55/R16 Goodyear Eagle RS just sitting in the trunk lol. and it came with four new tires. with the parts that i can sell and transfer over to my other Neon, it will pay for itself so as far as i see it, it was a good deal.

 

Well as long as your satisfied then it was a good buy. So what are your plans for this one? Too fix it and sell it, or use it to fix your other car, or to use it as a DD?

AlsoI have a Neon motor broken down, and I have the head(everything there)with the exhaust manifold if you might be interested in buying it, plus shipping since I am in TN.

 

not a bad deal...its hard to find a neon with perfect interior anymore

 

my plans for this one is to tear it apart, send the good parts to my other green Neon. and then turn this into my experimental car lol. aka play around with it, figure what i can and what i cannot do with it. stuff like that.
