After blowing my 3A Racing muffler packing all over the freeway, I now need a new muffler. I dont have the geek to buy the Flowmaster catback or anything else thats going to be over around $150. A simple clamp on high flow muffler is all Im looking for. Straight through design. Any suggestions? Preferable one that has either a setup sans fiberglass, or guaranteed not to blow out.

magnaflow handle a crap load of heat. whn i was looking for one the trustworthys told me to get a camaro muffler. too late but thats what they told me.
i ordered my magnaflow muffler through a place called keyston perf. i wanted it round so i could put it in the exhaust tunnels in case i decided to do side exhaust. so they sold me a "muffler" that had a 3" outside diameter, 2.5" core, and 2.25" pipe in and outs.
turns out its just a resonator. so i have header to piping to resonator. and no a/c right now. so i have to drive around listening to every bit of noise my car has to offer with a slightly deeper tone. im use to it now but at first i could barely stand it.

I think I found one on Ebay that im going to get. It has some sort of ceramic fiber insulation. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m32. Is it the heat that blows them apart? Or is it from the pressure? Or do the welds inside break apart to allow the insulation to get loose?
