Default Engine Computer

The computer in my car is running too "rich" because of a different computer. I found a new one for my car (same car type) and I want to install it myself. How hard is this to do? I am fairly good with electronics just not so much with cars...i know all the basics and more. Is it easy to do or is there somewhere I can look to figure out how to do it?

Its super easy. All you have to do is pop your hood and unhook your battery. Then, right there on the drivers side feder well right there by the battery is the computer. It has three bolts holding it in. Two go into the fender, and the third goes down through the wheel well. Unbolt those and free the computer. Then unhook the two large computer hookups. Installation is the reversal of removal.

What do you mean by "your computer is running rich?"

The guy who had the car before me had a differnt engine in it and a computer to match. When I got the car it had the factory engine and the computer for his engine. So a friend told me it was running rich and the engine was getting more fuel/air than necessary.

if the car is a 98 r/t, then the motor should be a dohc..therefor it should have the dohc computer in it....
only way that would be different is if the previous owner swapped in a sohc for sum dumb reason
