crazy idea for crankshaft...

so i had a strange thought, and i don't have enough knowledge in this area to know how well it would work.
so you have a 4 cylinderengine, and for ease of calculations, let's say it has a 2" by 2" bore (or any combination that would make for easy calculations).
what would happen if you made 2 cylinders short stroke, and two long stroke? so then you'd have (really extreme here) 2 one inch stroke cylinders and 2 three inch stroke cylinders, with the bores compensated to make all the cylinders the same as far as volume.
biggest things i can think of would be tuning, as 2 cylinders would have higher compression. any other thoughts?
don't flame, i'm just throwin out a new (as far as i know) idea for engines...

Well its a big issue if your car is not within the 10-15% rating for compression. I think with the 2 different pistons then the others would throw off the idle, make it run not well, and it will put more stress on different parts of the engine and wont be balanced very well. The pistons weights will also throw off the balance of the engine. Thats what I think anyways.
