After market headlight fitment

I decided to replace the headlights on my daughter's '96 neon as the originals were getting cloudy. I got a set of clear DESPOs from Modern Performance. They won't fit without major forcing. Is this normal?

Should pop right in. Make sure you are lining up the headlights correctly.
