Default radiator part numbers! ATX and MTX

so i called up Dodge to get the part numbers cause i am a little confused on if an ATX radiator will work in an MTX (because of the transmission cooler lines). When i called they gave me two part numbers for the ATX and one for the MTX.

ATX1: 4740097
ATX2: 4495947
MTX: 4740097

so the 1st ATX and the MTX are the same right? then, how does the ATX have the cooler lines? or can those be blocked off or whatever?

usually when you buy a new radiator, they all have the tranny line fittings, but they usually have rubber plugs on the end of the lines...
if the radiator is for an auto, then take off the rubber caps...if the radiator is for a manual, leave the caps on...

the 2 different part numbers for the auto radiators are because of mexican made neons and u.s. made neons...the radiators for the mexican neons are a bit larger and have a different cooling fan mounting location...

either way, any ATX radiator will work in an MTX

The ebay radiator I bought is for both but has the cooler lines capped as spud said. Working great so far.

thanks guys... on Saturday i went to the junkyard. found a radiator with dual fans. but the radiator looked BRAND new. the Neon had a blown head gasket so i guess they replaced the radiator and then the gasket went..

its always nice to find a situation like that..
i believe those were the same circumstances with the radiator i picked up from the junk yard for my car, though the radiator is out of a mexican neon and i didnt grab the fans with it...therfore my fans are just ziptied to the new radiator
