ok so i was coming home from helping a friend drop a motor in and my car was overheating bad and it stoped running had a huge puddle of oil under it did i blow the motor or head gasket the motor has 18 k and never had it replaced? i need help asap

 

probably head gasket if it was over heating first. happen to me but im not really sure

 

Check to see if you have any oil in your coolant or vice-versa. Sounds like a blown HG though.

 

i drained the radiator and i didnt see anything in it, there was a huge puddle of oil under the driver side of the motor im hoping its only a head gasket cuz i was coming home from getting the last 2 parts i need to swap the 5spd in i have 15 days to get it fixed cuz i lost my license for spinning my tires in the jeep lol

 

Could be a rear main seal as well.

 

could also be a busted tranny seal. when u give the car gas, it'll squirt out from the pressure.

 

well this is exactly what happened so you can get a better idea im was coming home it was running way to hot half way home started making like a grinding sound or a whistle it was hard to tell so i stoped let it kool down then tried to make it home i got into the next town and it just grinded and stoped it cranked back over but would fire up its probally gunna be a couple hundred bucks to get fixed

 

well everyone was wrong the block is cracked so im searching for a new block or engine

yeah... so this kinda blows worse then losen my license now i have to rebuild the whole damn thing.... again or maybe i can get this inpound lot to sell me this wrecked r/t thats been sitting there for years if not idk what im gunna do i dont wanna get rid of it im getting sick of fixing it lol oh well atleast i have somethin to do now
