i understand that on 1996 and later model neons, the iat sensor is combined with the map sensor, but i am trying to determine which two wires of the four wire map sensor are the iat sensor wires. i am trying to install a performance chip module but i need to know which two wires are the iat sensor. so if anyone could help at all that would be awesome!

 

im not entirely sure which wires they are, but save yourself the trouble and just dont install that "chip". its a waste of time to do because they just dont work

 

thanks man. i actually already installed it and an intake before hand. i think you are right about that chip thing though. i can't tell if it is actually doing anything at all. the intake definitely gave me a little more power but i think the chip was a load of crap. do you have any cheap easy suggestions on giving my car some more hp though? so far i just have a cold air intake, but i was thinking about getting headers and a full cat back exhaust. do you know of any full cat back exhaust systems that will perform amazingly but also not give my car a stupid fart sound. haha i want it to sound nice. i was thinking about a monza pacesetter, borla, or flowmaster. i really don't know though....

 

just get a good header and a borla muffler...the sound will be amazing

you dont actually need a cat-back style exhaust becuase the neons have a large diameter pipe as it is...you just need a good muffler...
as far as i know, borla only makes 1 muffler...
for a header, if you have a sohc, then i would just go with a pacesetter
