Has anybody heard about this? Supposedly modded Neon motors have a problem with the #3 cylinder leaning out and running hot to the point of damaging or seizing the piston.

 

nope.

 

I have lean condition in bay one. I dont know why it would cause it to sieze.
haveing a lean condition may cause the fuel to predetonate and eventualy blow a hole in the piston is about it. Check your injectors for clogs.

 

whats bay one and predetonation?

 

i dont know thats just what the OBD told me when i hooked it up. predetonation is when fuel burns before the spark plug ignites it,

 

Since the coil fires two plugs at once (1 and 3?) (2 and 4?) I don't have my book handy, perhaps that is what bay one refers to.
