i have a oil pan for a sohc and it has a hole right under the drain plug that was there when i bought it and its really hard to patch should i just replace the oil pan or is there sumthin else i can do?

 

well for my fix you are going to have to take it off anyway, so if you dont mind buying a new one, then go for it.

but for free, you can weld a plate over the entire drain plug and the nearby hole, then drill and tap a new drainplug into that plate.

 

yea i broke down and bought another one so i didnt have to deal with all that extra work
