Default automatic iceman

I have an auto tranny 1st gen neon and I just ordered the iceman and I was wondering if anyone has put it on there automatics. I know that the tube needs to be shortened but was wondering wat the best way to do it?

That was the fist mod I did to my car, actually the first mod I did to ANY car and it took me about 1 1/2 hours, most of that time was trying to get the stock battery tray out after stripping the thing that holds the battery in. So I used bolt cutters and tore it to shreds. Everything went really fast from there on But as cutting goes I just measured about 5.5" up the tube and cut it with a circular saw. The growl from it is so addicting, its not even funny. Your gas mileage will go WAY down just because you can't help romping on it. For some reason the shorter tube makes more noise on the ATX than the full length on the MTX.

i had the same problem with my battery tray..i ended up quitting though because it was getting dark and i was frustrated. is there any other way to get that damn battery hold down clamp off?...and so you need it once you put in the new tray?

Look at the battery box that came with the iceman, it has a starp to hold the battery down. If its the hold down bolt that is giving you problems, chop it off, you don't need it
