Does anyone know what insert to use when removing the balancer? I have a three jaw puller, but no insert. I am scared of damaging the threads on the crank if I don't use the proper tool. Also, when installing it can you just tap it on or do you need an install tool?

You need a long insert to pull it off. A lot of people use the side motor mount bolt as an insert. I have done this as well.
