Default Water intrusion

My 95 neon gets water in trunk area,I pulled everything out and sprayed water everywhere. The only place it comes in from are these vents under the bumper cover.
Anyone else have this problem?I searched and did not find anything on this topic.
Thanks for any help.

the seals on the rear lights tend to go bad, im 90% sure that thats your problem. try removing them and adding a small amount of silicone to both sides of the light gaskit or try and find new ones.

Default Water

I laid inside the trunk and had my wife spray water at the tail lights and trunk area for half an hour and I saw no leaks from them.It only gets water in it after you drive it.If I spray just a little water under the rear fender behind the tire I get water coming in through those vents.

I think i would pull the bumper cover off the rear and either replace the vent seal or figure out the failure on the seal and repair the seal.

the little vent deal your talking about is a joke with the way it wa designed...
i used to always have a problem with water leaking in from there....just silicone over the whole thing on both sides and have a good day...

Default like a patch?

So just put something over the hole vent and seal it up?I like that idea just don't know I can do it.

Can you take a picture of that vent? I'm getting a moist (not soaking wet) trunk when it's snowballs out, so i might have a similer problem.
Depending on the materials, I'd either use shoe goo or silicone. Silicone holds water, so if it's on metal it causes rust. Shoe goo's easier to use but wont come off as easy if you wanna sell and not look like somebody was makin trunk babies...

Tks
