According to modern at least, it calls for higher compression. will i be ok with what im running now or will i have to do a bottom end rebuild to gain higher compression in order to run the 18's?

and i know i could go boost, slo, but im not sure i want to do that quite yet....

spud, how much power are we talking about gaining by doing what you listed a couple posts ago?

if u go na and put in the high comp pistions there is really now going back to low com pistons for boost because it will be a waste of money na can only take you so far without the spray... of course if ur going all the way na with the spray then go right ahead eatherway it's what you want

i dont know what kind of power the setup would of had, but i had about the same setup without the 18's, instead i had 14's and the car was damn quick...

ive seen people put in 18's with a stock bottom end and havent had any problems...

if i had to choose ever again between going high compression or turbo, i would of went high compression.....the reliability factor is alot better if you dont turbo

lmfao if u put 20 pounds of boost on a stock bottom end yeah but otherwise wtf are you talking about 10 pounds on a semi build motor will work all day if you use n2o on any car there is always the possibilty of it blowing up because you introduce it so rapidly that you can blow your **** up.... they both have pros and cons but na is def not more reliable then a turbo they are both in the same corner with eachother if done right and well maint. it won't fail ir ur lazy with the cars maint. then yes it will fail but so will the N/A motor

well spud, that is my plan then. gonna go with this for now:
Crane 18's
Mopar ECU
Stiffer valve springs/retainers (Where do I get them?)
UDP
CAI (That I already have)

and Im probably going to do a header too. any suggestions?

Thats all within my budget, and then in the future Ill do a bottom end rebuild.

that sounds like a good build.....i would reccomend a header though....long tube

as for the springs and retainers, modern has them...i think they are about $320 or sumthing like that
