hi i have a 95 neon sohc 5 speed and i am looking to swap out motor for the srt-4 motor. could someone tell me what i all need to buy and do to make it fit. can i use my trans. that i already have in the car?

Q: What do I need to get the SRT-4 engine in my 1st gen?
A: You will need the engine, a 2.4 side motor mount adapter, wiring harness, and a NEW PCM that has not seen sentry, unless you are ready to swap the sentry stuff over also. You can eliminate the PCM and run the engine using Megasquirt. Don't know what that is, Google it!

 

can i use my old trans. it is manual. where can i buy all of the mounts like the side motor mount adapter? and what is the sentry mean?

 

i cant remember if you can still use the trans, thow i think you can by swaping the bell housing or something someone correct me if im wrong.

if i'm running MS do i need to modify the harness and were can i get the harness can i just buy one from anywere or do i have to get it from the donor car?
