Default Door panel fabric

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the fabric/carpety stuff on the door panels? I know not all neons came with this kind of trim but mine did & it's fugly as crap & looks all 80's. I tried painting it but it's too scratchy & the paint just wears off over time anyway. My next step is dyeing it but that's gonna be a PITA & I just want it gone.

Too bulky. Plus unless the panel comes apart, im gonna have untucked, visible edges.

remove it and fill it in with some form of fiber glass putty. that will be the closest to all plastic you will get it.

i took the fabric off of a set of door panels a long time ago...had to cut the matereal and then pull it off in strips...takes a long long time....
if you think it looks bad with the material, wait until you remove it

ugggghhh... this is becoming a monkey on my back...

if the damn paint didn't wear off so easily I wouldn't mind keeping the fabric. isn't there a better way to color it black & make it STAY black?
