Default Possible PCM failure

Yesterday when I was driving to work in my 97 neon DOHC it just died coasted to a stop and tried to start it back up just cranked towed it home and I'm getting no spark and no fuel I swapped the ASO relay with the horn relay it does work then hooked up my code reader to see if it threw any codes reader can't connect with the computer tried it several times no luck any suggestions?? Did my PCM take a crap on me?
Could it be the crank sensor or camshaft sensor?
Thanks
Rich

Do you hear the fuel pump prime? Check your battery connections to ensure they are clean and VERY snug on the battery posts.

Then check the crank and camshaft sensor.

Do you get your cabin lights to come on when you put the key in?

yeah the cabin light lights come on car cranks OK no spark or fuel when I was going to work it was flooded and really rough from all the ice melting my code reader can't connect with computer and I swapped out the horn relay for the ASO relay in case it was that I'm thinking either the crank sensor or the computer but only have the money to replace one or the other right now it also would stall alot when the engine was cold but would be fine once the engine was warm I don't know it its related or not
Thanks

is that the one in the black box under the hood I checked it and it was good but what about the scanner not being able to connect to computer? it still should do that on either one
