hood kit?
has anyone ever seen a kit to make the hood open from the back towards the front. i think that it would look cool on or neons i have seen one picture of a neon that had that, and unfortunately i dont own a machine shop to make the hinges. if you have any info please let me know. if you know a good place to get lambo door hinges too let me know.
i have some lambo door hinges that need a bit of work....as of right now the hinges would need to be welded onto the door and car....i chopped off a big chunk of one of the pieces that welds to the door to make it fit better...
and one of the bolts that holds one of the shocks onto the hinge is bent....
if your interrested i can send you pics......i was hopeing to try to get $175 shipped
as for the hood hindges, i havent seen any places that sell them, but if you have access to a welder, then you could make the stock hindges work...you will just need to use hood pins on the back

at the local junkyard were im from has old buicks that come factory with the front open hood the hinges have stopers on them im goin to pick up a set and bolt them on and see what happens will need hood pins unless i take the hood popper off the buick as well
i knew i would need the hood pins. as for the lambo doors i want to get straight bolt-on instead of weld on, so if i wanted to go back i could. what year buick had those brackets on the hood and how much would be involved with bolting them on. i am sure it would not be a direct bolt-on. hey spud did you have your lambo hinges on a 2dr or 4 dr. what did you think of them. were they noise or did they seal good
the hinges werent bad at all.....no wind noise, and sealed great.
i had them on a 2-door, but 2-doors and 4-soors still use the same ones..
i personaly hated the damn things.....they were the biggest pain in the *** and a complete waste of money....
opening the door when people were around was pretty bad ***.....i had alot of people always asking questions about them where ever i went.....but,
adjusting the doors so that they open and close properly was a pain in the *** and getting in and out of the car sucked...
it would of been different if i had them on a show only car, but they were on my daily driver that i used for work and due to work i was getting in and out of the car a dozen times....it all just became more of a hastle then it was worth...
i only had the hinges on the car for about 6 monthes and 4 of those monthes the car sat in the garage while i was building it up.....
i put a set of lambo hinges on a friends pt cruise that he puts in shows....he spent $1200 bucks on the hinges and since then he has actually been doing worse in the shows

The Lambo hinges are really going out of the show circuit , I had mine on for three weeks and hated them ...I saw one set that opened normally, then you hit a button they lambo'ed
but the price was $1800 (Eagle eye brand ) and was never able to find them again
unless you spend the big bucks for the 135 degree opening they are a pain getting in/out... even the 135's are having a high failure rate on the shocks/supports
