The 55 is the automatic throttle body right?

I say go with the bigger one, more air = more power.

wrong....

more air will only equal more power if you add more fuel and have mods to support it all...

there is no need for anything larger then a 52mm until you start making big power

well i purchased it for 17 dollars figured not a bad deal seeing there are no good junk yards around here closest is 25 miles. i got the 52 mm throttle body they said it came off of a 95 manual transmission but they said it is 52 mm. dont know if someone added it onto their manual, but anyways we will see.

Overall, I'd say you'd get 5 hp and a meaner sound with a 55mm throttle body, judging from these two sites.

All tb's are 52 at the top? The manuals funnel in, atx's dont. I would do the jeep tb swap. Cheap. I seen the dyno for a 52mm over a 49, it was 2hp? maybe it was 3 but doubt it.

I am running with a 55mm TB, I could not tell you any diffrence because I never drove the car without it. I am sure I will notice a diffrence when I replace the intake with the ported and polished one I have.

This weather needs to get warmer here before I can start anything.
