hahah i didn't even realize i forgot to ask sorry. i was told that it needs like a waterpump or a freeze plug. the guy wasn't a hundred percent sure. so before i go and just spend money i was wondering if there was a common problem they have with overheating or something like that

headgasket and the timing belt NEEDS to be replaced around 100k. as well as the water pump since its right there. probably the water pump and timing belt.

neon is a neon, plymouth, dodge, sport, rt, acr, highline, expresso only color and trim differences, for the most part. there is a slight difference in suspension too if i remember correctly. but overall it is that same car

When he put water in the rad was there ANY coolant in it?

The Expresso is just another model. it was based on the highline model (I would say one of the most common ones) but had the appearence options that were on the 95 Sport models. same suspension as the Highline. and they did come with the option for the DOHC except for the 95 Model year. and was standard on the 98-99 models.
