I have a 95 Dodge neon SOHC, looking for a good turbo kit for the money, i have $1,000 to spend, whats the best i can do? Also what kind of clutch will be needed? Anyother upgrades need to be made for turbo?

fuel u will need, spoolboy mod, and welbro 255 fuel pump, along with rrfpr.

as for a turbo kit for 1000 dollars, u will not get a GOOD kit for anyware near that, the ebay kits suck, turbos r terrible quality. how much hp are u looking to get out of the car? but i would deff NOT recomend the ebay kit

 

i had less then that in my 1st srt4 turbo kit and it worked great...

if you dont know what all will be needed for the turbo kit to work then you will need to do ALOT of research before you attempt to install a kit on your car

 

has anyone who has put a srt turbo on a neon actually sat down and calculated how much it cost? that would be nice just to have a idea

and i have a t3 from an old dodge daytona (real garrett) and an unknown brand intercooler for sale, shoot me an offer.

also have a full setup (turbo, piping, intercooler) utilizing an srt-4 turbofold, again unknown intercooler, and custom piping that was previously on a 1997 DOHC.

i also have a hahn map clamp (electronic one) and some fuel pumps and stuff. shoot me a pm with an offer

I just want the best bang for my buck, thats why i posted on here to see what my options were.

 

pretty much options are someone's old turbo (srt-4, hahn, etc.) junkyard turbo (cheapest, but hard to know what u are getting) or brand new. brand new is most expensive, but if you know the brand and stuff, you know exactly what u are getting. the supporting stuff is pretty much the same for all three options, more depends on power level you are wanting

 

i should have been more clear, i didnt mean just the turbo, im talking every dime you spend buying anything needed to make it work, and not just the turbo.

 

i have about three k in my setup, but i also have stuff that was not 100% nessasary either... i wanted the kit to look good and function well, and i am also going after big power, i did not use the srt turbo, u have a sohc, u will need an adapter plate if u r going this way..... dohc are cheaper because everything bolts up to a dohc....
