Default Neon DOHC

hello fellows!
I just bought a DOHC engine for my neon, i gonna make a head work, but i wanna transport the cam (iunno how to say it maybe, move forward the intake camshaft, and put back the exhaust cam iunno) and the engine gonna be stock!
anything gonna be helpfull

You are getting a dohc head, but you want to swap the cams into the opposite positions. That is not going to work. Also be sure to get a head corresponding with the year of your neon.

no bro im not meaning that, im mean to adjust the timing of the engine from the cam gears, i mean like put back 5 degrees the intake cam and move forward 3 degrees the exhaust cam u know what i mean??, so how many degrees i got to move in each cam for a better perfomance! but its stock!

just align the timing marks and leave it like that

so your saying you want to advance intake cam timing and retard the exhaust cam timing?

in this case you would most likely lose power due to the loss of valve overlap. Ofcourse the only way of knowing forsure would be by tuning with a dyno. Another thing is if the exhaust is out too much theres a possiblilty of piston contact.

Im still kind of confused, why are we trying this? If any changes are made, anthing more than a degree or two is accetable; anthing more would cause the car to either not run or run like dirt.

im not gonna move the cams as i said, im just asking how many degrees i should move for better perfomance, on my sohc i move the cam like -3 degrees and it changes, the car over 100 km/h 62 mph moves really fastcuz if u move forward the cam u gonna get more power at low speed but u die at high speed and if u put back the cam u gonna get more power at high speed but u die at low speed
