Default Tips for selling 1996 Neon?

Hi

I am looking to sell my 1996 Dodge Neon. She is in the garage of my apartment building so I can't really sell individual parts / have people come over and strip what they need. I would like to sell her to someone that either wants to fix her up again or is in a position to sell her for parts. I had just put 4 new tires and hubcaps on her before she broke down (I think all she needs is a new radiator and hose and head gasket). I'm a student and can't afford to fix her- she's been garaged for a year.
Any suggestions on how to figure out how to price her to sell?

Thank you!

First off, where's the car? Second off, why dont you fix it? HG kit and a junkyard radiator wont cost more then $200...

Pictures, a price, and a discription would help. This forum would be a good place, but you'll get alot of lowball offers.

yah but not everyone is mechanically inclined to do a head gasket so it will cost like $600-$900 providing he didnt warp the head and what not but the car is prolly worth $100-$500 at max depending on the body

Default My 1996 Neon

I am a she and not mechanically inclined at all I am in San Francisco, and I have seen guys driving around in tricked out Neons, but they are usually zooming past and so I have never been able to ask one of them about selling her. The reason I'm not fixing my car up is that the cost of repairs will be more than the car is worth to me, as I'm not a racing enthusiast or a collector.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I can take some photos of the car and email them to you.

Thanks again for your help

well hello she, you might want to check out neons.org and maybe list it on craigslist then

kbb.com will give you the value of the car, and then you will have to deduct the cost of what it will take to repair the engine from that price...im gona go out on a limb here and say its probably only worth about 1000 bucks if it dosent run right

Well I was never mechanicly inclined at one time either. You have to start somewhere. try working on it with a friend that your sure they know what their doing? Use being a girl to your advantage.
