Default Oil still leaking

Well my oil is still leaking. Can anyone help!?! I have a 1998 R/T. The oil leak is not noticeable on the ground or anywhere on the car. I know for a fact that it's not blowing out the tailpipe or past the rings. I'm pretty sure that it's not the head gasket because it was replaced not to long ago. What else could it be!?!

I don't know, check your engine bay. Just look around for where oil is leaking. Do you have a cold air intake? If so, what did you do with the crankcase vent? How much oil is leaking? I see you have an oil pressure guage, did you 'T' it off and keep your stock sensor or take the stock one out and use the aftermarket sensor only. Maybe its leaking there? Another idea for you.

I've checked the engine bay every week. I have the oil pressure gauge, it's in and all the wires are ready but it's not hooked up yet haha waiting for warmer weather. But yeah it's down about half in 3 weeks or so. I know that I would see traces of it somewhere but I can't find any anywhere!!!

Where is the oil collecting at? Like in relation to your car. Directly beneath say the engine? It shouldn't be that hard to find if you're losing that much oil. Neons consume some oil, but not enough to take your oil down halfway in only 3 weeks.

If not showing up on the ground or engine bay, its either burning oil or its in the coolant.

Ditto last response. It has to be somewhere. If it is not exiting the engine in the form of a leak it is getting consumed.
Check your coolant for a milky appearance and then time to check the intake for oil. If not in these places check your spark plugs for oil contamination. If clean the you probably need to check compression/cyclinder leakage and check for worn rings. Might even pull the O2 sensor and chec for oiling.

The Cat can mask some issues if burning in the combustion process.

Just remember you can's say it is not leaking out of the engine and it ain't burning it and have the oil level keeps falling. Cause it ain't magic oil. It is going somewhere even if you ya don't think so. Keep looking.

Might even see f you can ger a hold of a SMALL flashlight ans see if you can see oil on piston tops through the sparkplug holes.

That much oil going through the cylinder would most likely show up on the plugs. Was the head serviced when the gasket was replaced? It could be the valve stem seals are bad.

That's the problem. I got the car in March of last year. The car was in almost perfect condition other then a few dings in the door like from people hitting it with their doors. Last year when I got it, it had 79000 miles on it and he said the head gasket and timing belt were both replaced about a couple thousand miles ago. That's the reason I don't think it's the head gasket and also that's why I wouldn't know if the head was serviced at the same time. My car is now at 89000 miles that's why I figure it's not becasue it's only been alittle over 10000 miles since it was replaced. I'm also hoping it's not a head gasket because it costs a lot [sm=bangbang.gif] My dad helps me a lot with my car because he used to mess around with the V 8's and older muscle cars ALOT but he said he doesn't want to touch a DOHC. there is a product that I saw on the show " Two guys garage" on SPEED channel. it comes with dye, and a pair of yellow glasses. you put the dye in the oil and then drive it for a couple days. then take a black light and the yellow glass and if you do have a leak the dye will glow under the black light, the glasses just help you see the glowing dye better.
