that's still hunting down parts when you can buy the whole thing as a kit. When you gotta hunt down parts, sometimes (not all times), you will run into the problem of them not fitting right and wasting money on a part you can't use. Then you gotta find a new part. I do a lot of engineering different machines to do things there not built for or improving to increase productivity. Happens most the time during custom fabrication.

hmmm lets see....spend the money and buy a kit
or....
spend a couple hours searching around the internet and save over $2000
i guess if you have the money to blow away then it would be just easier to buy a kit, but if your on a budget, like most people on here then its worth looking aorund....
if you do plenty of research before starting a project then you want have many issues...measure twice...cut once

i pieced a whole srt turbo kit together with no help from anyone....did plenty of research on here and other forums.....i didnt even know how a turbo worked before i started looking around.....found all the parts either on ebay or srtforums.com
had the kit installed within 1 week and the only issues i ran into was when i cut out a piece of my radiator support to fit the intercooler....i cut the opening too big....and a few cuttings of fuel line....
it pays to to research and not just tump right into a project not knowing anything

the srt manifold will only bolt right up if you have a dohc...sohc needs an adapter plate...
then u need to figure out a fuel system

Stage 2 Hahn kit adds $1100 to the price. Used SRT4 intercooler is about $50-$75 from any neon forum and get the intercooler piping for about $100 shipped from ebay. That's about a $900 savings!

exactly my point...
the srt4 intercooler is a very good design that is more then enough for most turbo setups.....not to mentions the hahn front mount intercooler weighs about 50 lbs and the srt4 intercooler heighs about 7lbs

that is what I have done...but it has ended up costing the same price as that Stage 1 Hahn turbo kit...
12.5:1 compression, bored .090 over, stroked to a 2.2L, molly rings, Clevette 77 bearings, ported & polished head, enlarged valves, Long Tube Headers to straight pipe, Forged pistons, forged Eagle connecting rods, Lightened crank, blueprinted and balanced. Lightweight flywheel, road racing clutch, 60mm throttle body, port-matched, #18 cam, valve springs, adj. cam gear.
I am getting the same power as a stock w/ the turbo kit would give you, but w/ the turbo, you can achieve more power. Only advantage I'd say you would have is no turbo lag coming out of the corners when you go N/A...but I don't have a turbo so I don't know how much that would really affect you.

A high compression N/A motor will get smoked by a mildly turbo motor.
