Manual Transmission Problem !!!
A few days ago i was driving on my car and i herd noises running in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear, in 1st and neutral there is no sound at all...
The sound is like the transmission feeling all floppy and a whistle sound.
Also sometimes when i'm in any gear, the car automatically rejects the gear, and jumps to neutral. It's like i'm driving in 3rd and suddenly the car puts me in Neutral, and the shifter moves by itself and I have to put in 3rd again.
Anyone has had this problem and solved it?

the last time i had a similar problem it was because my tranny had a bent shift fork...
somtimes while driving down the road i would have to use my foot to hold the shifter forward to stop it from popping out of gear because my had was getting tired...
i never fixed the problem though.....just swapped the car to an auto instead

I had the same problem...it is due to a bent shift fork, in your case, it's possibly more than one shift fork, or a rod holding the shift forks. Either way, If you are going to tear into your transmission, you are going to want to rebuild the whole thing, change the seals, bearings, syncros, and check the shift forks for wear (replace as necessary). If you got it apart, you might as well go all the way and that might cost you a good bit of money to do depending on how bad everything is. easiest thing to do would be to buy a used or already rebuilt one, swap it out, and then rebuild the other one at your leisure.
