pasesetter long tube headders have shown to have the most gains for a SOHC engine.

yeah, sorry i had edited the post before but guess it did not stay.

but i added stock size is good as long as you change the SOHC mufler if you still have the stock muffler on there.

unless you turbo, you loose power going up any higher than 3, even at 3" you are risking loosing power, but 2 1/2 seems to be the magic size for the neon...all the performance exhaust kits are usually at 2 1/2.

2 1/4 is more then enough for the neon.....2 1/2 will be fine though...

even with a turbo on these cars, there is no need for a 3" exhaust

Stick with the stock size and invest the money somewhere else.

well i gonna get it not buy it! a friend work on a exhaust shop and he gonna give to me an 2.5" exhaust i got an HKS muffler and the entrace its 2.5" inchs... my uncle say that "whit bigger compression you have to change the exhaust system for a better perfomance" and he works with gt cars! so im cuz u know so much about neon and maybe the neon can be so kind of "exception" on the racing world!
