I agree with that spud, but i didn't loose my need for high speeds. I'm just taking my need and putting it in a controlled environment. The race track. Going to be taking my Neon to Road Atlanta for the first time this year. It's the only safe way to go.

I like to feel the torque. Thats about it. I dont care much for high speeds. Some tires are not even rated for 90mph let alone 120.

 

Im at the point where I like the pull from around 30 up to 70-75. Occasionally Ill go ***** to the walls and see what it can do, but most of the time the pull up to 75 is enough for me.

 

dont plan on it....trying to get a car to go as fast as it can is pointless...
ive had too many close calls in my time and ive got more important stuff to do.....
i havent even taken a car over 80mph since i got rid of my red r/t....and im perfectly happy...i dont have the money or time to waste on tickets or ruining my car....

 

Posrt match the head and get a SAFC Neo. Tuning ftw. Ebay has plenty of bolts ons as well.

 

On the highways here in ATL, 75 mph and u'll get ur *** ran off the road. everyone likes to go 90 around here.

My Neon has a really nice pull from 40-100. Kinda starts slowing down after that, but It still pulls hard as hell.

 

Yeah there cracking down on speeder son the interstate here. On the back roads I usually drive 75-80ish interestate is about the same.

 

My mom works for the city here, she found out that the new plan for are city is "stop the racers before they race" A few days ago I was pulled over twice within 5 minutes and 4 blocks. I was on my way home from eating. I cant even enjoy the rides home because other people messed it up for me. I have a feeling that with all these retards driving, the government will start regulating the cars in some way. I have a kid that drives 50mph+ down my street, i throw rocks at his car. The day I finished my turbo neon, I went down the road to find one car crashed in the ditch. I pulled up and they were pulling 4 dead bodys out of the car ages 16-18. There were racing at 100mph+ brakes went out and they hit the T intersection and they were done, one person lived. I have seen alot around here. I think thats most the reason I stay away from high speeds. If I ever hear of anyone flying down residential I will personally slap you. That is so dumb. I will throw rocks at your car :-). Keep the speeds down!
