the struts wont help lower the car...

if you cut the springs then you are going to cause alot of issues....the spring wont sit right on the spring seats anymore and you will get somne noise when turning or hitting bumps....

if the springs were new, then they still have to break in....
what kind of springs did you get?

You can instead of cutting your springs, raise your strut tower. It takes a lot of skill, a very good welder, and some reinforcing. I did mine and was able to drop it a total of 5" rear and 4.5" front with lowering springs.

with my side skirts on, i got 1 5/8" clearance, 2 7/8" to the frame, frame has an extra strip of 2"x1/4" steel stock welded to the frame rails for a skid pad. 205/40/17 tires tuck completely covering 1/2" of the top of the rim in the rear and fall right under the tread of the tire in the front.

Yeah I know, I was thinking about getting some high rates but decided against it, after riding with what it has now, i am so happy i didn't lol. I can take the roughness, but its my friends who cant and they now do nothing but complain when they are in my car lol
