Default Cheap 14" snow tires that work great also $35 each new

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=0

If the link is incorrect, well just go to www.tirerack.com
and enter the size 175 65 14, and they come up. They're firestone winterforce tires that werent stamped with firestone... They're skinnier then stock 14", and the spedo is slightly off. Other then the spedo issue, they're a good tire.

It just snowed about 10" last night (Eau Claire WI 54703) and this morning before the plows cleared sidestreets I had to go to work. They did exelent. I've only got a pair up front, but new all seasons in the rear. The rear does dip out if you stomp on the brakes and stay on them, or if youre pushing hard around a corner... Very controlable/predictable also.
They're kinda crappy on dry pavement, and loud at high speeds (again on dry pavement)
They rock on wet pavement, slush, snow, and hard packed snow. On ice you're screwed anyways, but I'm sure they're better then an all season...

I know winter's almost over, but still, had to pass this along.

Cheap mounting=Walmart. Take the rims off the car and get them mounted/balanced for like $10 each... New valve stems cost 1.50 each, I just installed my own for free.
WARNING!!! They are directional tires. Sometimes walmart workers are retarded and put them on facing the same way which wont work for you. Also they will NOT put them on the car for your (wrong speed rating/size). If they happen to notice they're the wrong size, and speed rating after they remove your rims, and tires, they will attempt to charge you for a remount... Ask for management at that point, you will get nowhere.

Double check that they're inflated to 30psi. I got them, and was immediatly dissapointed by the lack of traction... They were at 45psi...
At 30 they grip well.
