1996 dodge neon timing marks

i need help with the timing marks ,i am a female who has her x-father in law working on car but forgot to mark it and needs info on how to reallign timing please help!!

w/ the timing cover off, align the dots/arrows on the crank gear, align the slit in the cam gear w/ the slit on the ridge of the inside timing cover.

and if its dohc then align the slits on the cam gears so they are pointing at eachother
