Might I suggest taking your main bearings, rod bearings, and pistons. Sending them to Modern Performance to have the anti-friction coating put on them. Also, If you are going to do the build, might want to look into getting new bearings for the lower end. Clevette 77 bearings. And go ahead and get the bottom end stud kit. That changes the load of the bolts from the threads to the nuts. therefore you gain durability and you will need all the durability you can get w/ the high compression.

^ have to agree I'm currently rebuild a small block chev for my truck and i'll only run the clevite 77 bearings and i'm deff considering getting them coated... also thinking about getting the pistons coated also... seems to be a big trend in getting internals coated but for good reason take a look at the high hp builds and you won't see a single engine without coatings on the bearings and pistons at least... some even go as far as coating the combustion chamber of the head.... hell even the intake manifolds are getting coated with stuff to keep them cooler...

cool...only advantage to that is setting the intake and exhaust cams independently...can be a big advantage if you decide to change out the internals and go turbo...easier to get turbo parts for a DOHC
