Default cam timing

hey guys i got hr 259 cam from comp and my motor is sohc i want to get the best powr out of it when the turbo is kicked in should i dvance the cam timing or retard it? its got and adjustibe pully. what do you guys think?

retard it! its the best for a turbo! i think like 3 degrees but if u got a adjustable pulley try retarding the car and look when its on the top, do not advance, cuz u gonna gain a lil of compression and that what we dont want when we are turbo!

retard the cam, advance the spark...that's the basic rule for tuning on any car.

you really shouldent mess with cam timing unless your dyno tuning. Street tuning buy the butt dyno isnt that accurate.

Megasquirt or performance computer are the only ways on a neon.

my plz r 500 and all my gauges will help me tune my cam. i got everything i got afr meter iat sensor readings egt readings map reading knock scope, colant temp everything. its all hooked up to my labtop so i can monitor everything and record iit. what im guna do is is 1 degree at atime and im guna do a 1/4 mile run and record all my things then go over everything make sure my afr is 12.3 12.5
