Default Longer throttle cable?

I need a longer throttle cable to reach the TB on my ghettoblaster manifold. I would just clamp some extra metal wire in between the throttle cable, but I think it would hit the plastic piece on the TB shaft, or the bracket that holds the TB cable in place. I only need like 4 inches. Anyone know what I can do, or a car that has one that will fit onto a neon?

Some neons come with longer throttle cables. Go junkyard shopping. I dont remember what kind of neon they come off of, but I think its atx's.

The longer of the two is really really long. You will know the difference. Maybe on 95's, or maybe on cars with cruise control. I am not sure where to find them.

all 4 of my old 98 r/t's had the really long throttle cable...
i think most of the 98-99 5-speeds neons had it...

you will deffinately notice the difference because the cable is about 5 feet longer then yours

I never understood nor found the reason behind the longer throttle cable. But it is DEFINITELY longer.

My best guess would be a production shortage of of them and used one from another vehicle, maybe the Stratus or something like that.

Couldn't find any 1st gens or stratus's with longer ones but I got one from a 2nd gen that will fit the TB piece, and should have no big issue fitting the TB bracket/pedal when the time comes.

you could probally pull another neon up infront of the other and use the throttle cable from one car to run the other car

Just reading this post & myself am looking for a 5 foot throttle cable that would work on a 94 5.2L MPI engine. I did a swap from my 74 Winnebago 318-3 to the 94 MPI. Is the cable you mention 5 feet long? Thanks
