Bobble strut, Broken?
So if I were to hold my bobble upside down in the closed position the hydraulic would slide down on its own. I'm guessing the bobble is shot?
I was thinking of welding a solid bobble with the bottom part and a threaded bolt, anyone else make there own?

Ya I was also thinking of putting something over the bar like that, but having to weld would give me an excuse to spend 20 bucks on some new weld wire cause I got use some for some other stuff that needs welding. I'm going to the jy in a bit so maybe I'll grab another from there and see what I'll do.
They show up for sale sometimes, after people swap to a semi-solid bobble.
It really depends on what you'd like to do with the car, if you want to launch it well, get a semi-solid bobble from modern. If it's just a economy car to you, get one from a junkyard or leave yours alone.

Well my old car I didn't have a bobble on and the FMM got torn up fast. I hate hearing the engine rock and would be nicer for launches. I removed the FMM polyurethane cause of the vibs, but this was when my idle was like 1500rpm cause of a vac leak so maybe it won't be as bad at normal idle. I need some weld wire for my exhaust so I guess I'll weld the bobble and see how it works out. I'm also going to grab a FMM insert from a neon at the JY which will be nice.
